Chengguan Town
Chengguan Town, subordinate to Xin'an County, Luoyang City, Henan Province, is located in the south central part of Xin'an County, with a total area of 75.4 square kilometers, and 20 kilometers west of Luoyang City, with a total area of 75.41 square kilometers. By 2019, Chengguan town has 25 communities, 11 administrative villages and a permanent resident population of 989300. Longhai railway, 310 National Road, Lianhuo Expressway and S246 provincial road cross the border. Historical evolution
Since the Tang Dynasty, Chengguan town has been the political, economic, cultural and traffic center of Xin'an County. On March 10, 1948, Chengguan was liberated. In 1951, it was changed into districts. In 1956, it was changed into townships. In 1958, it was changed into Yuejin people's Commune and later into Chengguan people's commune. At the end of 1979, Chengguan sub district office was set up from Chengguan commune, which has jurisdiction over all streets of Chengguan. In March 1981, the office was cancelled, and in 1984, Chengguan commune was changed into Chengguan town.
