History and culture
The ancient Liyuan, which is called lianzhai, lizhaiji and lianzhaiji in ancient times, has a long history. It originated in the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, and also became a JiZhai. According to the ancient history research, it is clearly put forward that Zhuxiang was all located in Chenzhou. According to the records of the universe: "Zhecheng is the city of Zhuxiang", the location was pointed out. At that time, Li belonged to Chenzhou, with a city wall and four gates. Each gate had a temple, resplendent jade, octagonal, glazed tile top, dragon flying and Phoenix dancing. The temple had a main hall, East and West galleries, gatehouses, city (Village) walls, more than 6 meters high and 8-10 meters wide. There was a moat outside the city wall The ditch is 7-8 meters wide and 3-4 meters deep. The water is clear and transparent. There are weeping willows around the ditch. There are larks and Yellow Warblers on the willows. There are cattail grass, asparagus, fish and shrimp in the ditch. Every summer, willows are luxuriant, with the fragrance of birds and flowers, and the singing and dancing of warblers. It has an ancient history and culture, and is the birthplace of business. At that time, Li lianzhai was very powerful. The ancients said, "the willows in lianzhai trench are like smoke, the birds are singing, the flowers are fragrant, the warblers are singing. The asparagus is flourishing, and the brocade scales can be counted as Qingpu fresh. " There is an ancient mausoleum outside the east gate of the village wall, covering an area of about 30 mu. There is a mausoleum in the mausoleum. In front of the mausoleum are stone man, stone horse, stone lion, stone monkey, stone elephant, stone sheep, stone twister and so on. A large variety of strange stone animals are arranged on the left and right sides of the stone man. In front of them are mausoleum gatehouses and license houses. These ancient city walls and monuments still exist in the early days of liberation. You can see the stone man's head and left arm cut off in half. The older villagers can tell stories. It is said that the stone man got up in the middle of the night to steal oil and was caught by his family and cut off half of his head and one arm with a knife. If so, there are red spots under the stone man's arm . But all of them were destroyed in that turbulent era. They smashed the old society, broke the four old and established the four new. They were relics of the old society, ancient temples, stone men and stone horses. All the stones were dug out and burned to lime. The temples were smashed, and the bricks and tiles were built into medical and health centers. The walls of the village were stripped to fill the trench. The trench of the south gate and the west gate walls was filled with the soil from the Shang (Qiu) to Huai (Yang) canal From the north gate to the east gate and from the east gate to the south gate, there are still some historic sites in the trench, some of which have been flattened in recent years, and liyuannan business street has been built. However, several sections of Haizi can still be found, which are already incomplete ponding pits. However, the walls of the city (Village) can no longer be seen. All of them are covered with houses, and some of them are planted with trees or crops. 5 km away from the South Gate of Liyuan, the brick kiln farm is located in the west of Fangzhuang. There was an ancient tomb excavated in the Warring States period. It was also in that turbulent period that the land was dug up. Because of the poor growth of crops, I don't know who came up with a new idea to dig up the land a little deeper, about 1 meter. As a result, a lot of ancient coffins were dug up. The local villagers all called it the tomb of the old. At that time, they didn't know what the historical sites were or the surroundings of the tomb It was built with green bricks. It was thicker and bigger than bricks. It was bulky. There were ancient pottery, bowls and tea sets in the tomb, which were relatively rough. At that time, it was smashed. It was all over the ground, and the food and clothing were rotten. According to a local old man, I don't know what else was dug out. It's said that there were any beads left. They were already destroyed. 300 meters further on, there was a piece of ruins that could be seen 50 years ago. But I don't know what Dynasty it was. The ruins were full of broken bricks and tiles, ceramic fragments, and no crops. It's said that the ruins were called every farmer. They no longer existed, and they were all planted with crops. In the west gate of Liyuan, there is a red square, which is the execution ground. After liberation, many people were killed there. It can be seen that Liyuan was an important town in ancient times.
