Beitun town
Beitun Town, subordinate to Altay City in Altay region of Xinjiang, is located in the south of Altay City. It is adjacent to cherkeqi Township in the East, Fuhai County in the south, Wulungu Lake in the west, aweitan Town, balibagai Township and chermurcheke Township in the north, with an administrative area of 55.5 square kilometers.

History of construction
In the third year of Emperor Yongzheng (1725) of the Qing Dynasty, Batai, the Minister of the Ministry of industry, and Shuangxi, the Minister of the cabinet, were appointed as the garrison officials and set up four electric fields in the Altay area. In the 19th year of Emperor Qianlong (1754), the Qing government ordered sangkuke, wulianghaizai, to garrison here.
