Gurtu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Wusu city in Tacheng Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the west of Wusu city, adjacent to Sikeshu town in the East, Nileke County in the south, Jinghe County in the West and Tuoli County in the north, with a total administrative area of 3894.25 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Gore town was 12906. In 2019, 15 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of gurtu town.

In August 1950, gurtu township was established, belonging to the fourth district.
In May 1964, it was renamed state-owned ranch.
