Shuiding town
Shuiding Town, subordinate to Huocheng County, Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the south of Huocheng County, adjacent to Langan Township in the East, Huiyuan town in the south, Langan Township in the West and salblak town in the north, with a total administrative area of 250.25 square kilometers.
In 1762, suiding city was built; in 1984, the town commune and Shuiding town merged to build a new Shuiding town. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in Shui Ding Town was 38491. In 2019, Shuiding town governs 9 communities and 4 administrative villages.

History of construction
In 1762, the city of suiding was built.
In 1888, suiding county was established as the governing body of Yili Prefecture and suiding county.
In 1950, it belonged to the first and second districts of suiding county.
In 1958, it belonged to the October commune.
In 1960, the Red Star commune was established.
In 1965, suiding county was changed to Shuiding county and Shuiding town was set up.
In 1973, red star commune was renamed town commune.
In 1984, the town commune and Shuiding town merged to build a new Shuiding town.
