Chenjiang Street
Chenjiang street is located in the southwest of Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, China, with traffic extending in all directions. It is 10 kilometers away from Huizhou West Lake, and close to Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Daya Bay in the South China Sea. It is the political, economic, and cultural center of Zhongkai National High Tech Development Zone, and the Shenzhen Dongguan Huizhou center cooperation zone.
Chen Jiang is the hometown of Mr. Liao Zhongkai, a famous pioneer of democratic revolution. Liao Zhongkai was the banner of the left wing of the Kuomintang and a close friend of the Communist Party of China. He once led the first cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China and created a new situation of the Chinese revolution. Liao Zhongkai was the right-hand man of Sun Yat Sen, the father of the Republic of China. He was the governor of Guangdong Province of the national government and the Minister of finance of the Republic of China.
On December 16, 2019, it will be included in the list of the third batch of smart health elderly care demonstration streets (towns).
Historical evolution
From Qin Dynasty to Qing Dynasty
In the 33rd year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (214 BC), the Qin Dynasty established Nanhai County in Lingnan, which belongs to BOLUO county. In 311, Nanhai county was established as Dongguan County, and the town was located in Xinle county. In the Southern Dynasties, Chen (557-589) changed Xinle county to Guishan county. From then on, the names of counties, prefectures and prefectures above the county level changed from time to time in the Qing Dynasty, and the town eventually belonged to Guishan county. in Song Dynasty (960-1279), the town had been settled and developed. in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the number of people gradually increased. There is Xinle post nearby, which has been sent by post. during the period from the end of Qianlong to Daoguang (1790-1850), Dongge polder was formed, which was the earliest polder city in the town (scattered polder after 1850). During the reign of Daoguang (1821-1850), jiaziwei was formed. During the Tongzhi period (1862-1874), huanghantou polder was built (scattered polder during the Republic of China).
The period of the Republic of China
in the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Guishan county was changed to Huiyang county. in 1923, there was a bus station along Huizhang highway. The place name "Chenjiang" began to appear in. in 1946, Jiazi Town, the first district of Huiyang county (Jiazi was renamed Tonghu in 1948).
The period of the people's Republic of China
In 1951, Tonghu district was changed to Jiazi district. In 1958, Dongfeng people's commune, including the town, was established, integrating government and society. In the same year, it was renamed Tonghu people's commune. In 1959, Tonghu people's commune was separated from Zhenlong people's commune, and the town is still in Tonghu people's commune. In 1960, Tonghu people's commune was divided into Chenjiang people's commune, which is now under the jurisdiction of Chenjiang town. In November 1983, Chenjiang people's commune was abolished and changed into Chenjiang district. On April 2, 1987, the Ninth People's Congress of Chenjiang district was held. At the same time, the district was changed into a town and Chenjiang town was established. In May 1994, Huiyang county was changed from a county to a city, and Huiyang City (county level) was established, still under the jurisdiction of Chenjiang town. On June 12, 2003, the administrative division of Chenjiang town was transferred to Huicheng District. on April 28, 2006, Chenjiang Township Office was withdrawn, with jurisdiction over 2 communities and 11 villages. Huicheng District still has jurisdiction over Chenjiang office. on February 26, 2010, the launching meeting of system and mechanism reform and innovation of Huizhou Zhongkai high tech Zone was held, and Chenjiang street was transferred to Huizhou Zhongkai high tech Zone.
