Beiting town
Beiting Town, subordinate to Jimsar County of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located at the north foot of Tianshan Mountain and the southeast edge of Junggar basin, 8 kilometers north of Jimsar County of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The geographical coordinates are between 4358'57 "~ 44 ° 09'48" n and 89 ° 05'28 "~ 89 ° 19'29" E. Beiting town is adjacent to the red flag farm of the sixth division of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps in the north, 165 kilometers away from Urumqi in the west, 500 kilometers away from Hami in the East, and reaches Turpan by Cheshi ancient road in the south, with a total area of 193.57 square kilometers. As of 2014, Beiting town has one community and five administrative villages, and the town government is located in Beiting town community. As of 2018, the town of North Ting has 10976 registered residence population.
In the third year of Yongyuan (91) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, wubuhou was set up, and the Houcheng (now Beiting) was stationed in the rear of Cheshi. In 640, the Tang government set up Tingzhou in the present Beiting area, which has jurisdiction over the vast area of Pu Lei Hai (Balikun Lake) in the East, Shiqi River (Jinghe River) in the west, desert in the north and Tianshan Mountain in the south. In the first month of the first year of Yuanzhen (1295), the Yuan Dynasty set up the Beiting capital Marshal's office, and Pingzhang government affairs were combined to be the capital marshal. After Yongle year of Ming Dynasty, Fuyuan County (now Jimusaer county) was established in 1902, and houbaozi (now Beiting) was the North Township of Fuyuan County. Beiting is a nomadic area. In December 1984, Beiting Township People's government was established. In 1902, Fuyuan County (now Jimusaer county) was established, and houbaozi (now Beiting) was the North Township of Fuyuan County. In 2001, Beiting town was established after the township was removed.

Historical evolution
In the third year of Yongyuan (91) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, wubuhou was set up, and the Houcheng (now Beiting) was stationed in the rear of Cheshi.
In the third year of kaihuang reign of Sui Dynasty (583), the Western Turks governed the northern and southern parts of Tianshan Mountains, and Beiting was the territory of Western Turks. In the 11th year of Daye (615), Beiting belonged to the territory of Sui Dynasty.
In 640, the Tang government set up Tingzhou in the present Beiting area, which has jurisdiction over the vast area of Pu Lei Hai (Balikun Lake) in the East, Shiqi River (Jinghe River) in the west, desert in the north and Tianshan Mountain in the south. At the beginning of Jianzhou, Jinman County, Pulei county and Luntai County were established, and then Xihai county was added. Jinman County governs two townships, and the county and the prefecture govern Jinman city together. In the third year of Xianqing (658), the Tang Dynasty restored Tingzhou and established Jinshan Prefecture. In the first year of chuigong (685), the capital of Kunling was restored and the capital of Jinshan was abolished. In the second year of Chang'an (702), the Tang Dynasty set up beitingdu Hufu in Tingzhou. In the first year of Jinglong (707), the Tang Dynasty changed beitingduhufu into beitingduhufu, which governs three states: Yizhou, Xizhou and Tingzhou.
In the 18th year of Genghis Khan (1223), daluhuachi was set up in Bishi Bali (now Beiting) to supervise it. In June of the first year of mengge Khan (1251), the Ministry of Shangshu of Bishi balihang was set up in Beiting to take charge of the military and political affairs of the north and south of Tianshan. In the first month of the first year of Yuanzhen (1295), the Yuan Dynasty set up the Beiting capital Marshal's office, and Pingzhang government affairs were combined to be the capital marshal. After Yongle year of Ming Dynasty, Beiting was a nomadic area of Wala.

The landform of Beiting town is high in the South and low in the north, with an altitude of 500m ~ 800m and a slope of 3% ~ 0.3%. In the plain, many small gullies and nearly north-south zonal depressions and gullies are well developed, with a cutting depth of 2m ~ 6m, mostly U-shaped, and a slope of 1 ~ 3 degrees. The East-West river dams run across the territory from south to north, dividing the territory into three large river dams. There are two north-south loess beams on both sides of the territory, which are like two natural barriers to protect farmland.

Beiting town is an oasis farmland desert area with plant distribution. It is located in a flat and open area between 600m and 700m above sea level. It is also divided into farmland, Gobi and depression plant belt. Herbaceous wild plants are widely distributed in farmland, oasis, Gobi and saline land. The arbors are elm, poplar, willow, etc. Shrub plants are medlar, camel thorn, Tamarix, bell thorn, etc. Medicinal plants are Kochia scoparia, Dijin, Solanum nigrum, Apocynum venetum, Cynomorium songaricum, liquorice, Cirsium japonicum, Cirsium japonicum. There are six ancient white elms in the town, more than ten meters high, with a thick crown. It takes three adults to encircle them. The ancient elms are crisscrossed and their branches extend in all directions. They are like giant umbrellas. Most of them are more than 300 years old. They are called "hundred year old ancient elms".
