Manas Town, belonging to Manas County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of the county. It is adjacent to baojiadian town in the East, liangzhouhu town in the south, Shihezi City in the west, Lanzhou bay town and Guangdong Dixiang town in the north. The area is 50.09 square kilometers. In 2018, 40039 people registered residence.
In 1941, it belonged to the first district. In 1946, it was Jingyuan town. In March 1950, it was called Chengguan District. After August, it was renamed the first district. In 1957, Manas town was established. In March 1962, the town commune was established. In 1965, the town commune was abolished. The town system will be restored. In July 2011, tougong township was incorporated. In October 2019, Manas town governs 9 communities and 10 administrative villages.
In 2018, Manas town had 33 industrial enterprises and 1355 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
