Shanglaxiu Township

The upper reaches of Xiu Xiu Township, which belongs to Yushu City, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province, is located in the southwest of the city, east of the village of Ba Tang, the south of the town of La La Xiu, the West with zando County, and the northern part of the dragon town. In 2018, the area was 2137.67 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 12362.

In 1953, it belongs to rasshog. In September 1959, from Laxiu Xiaoge, Laxiu commune was established under the jurisdiction of Jiangnan county. In 1962, after Jiangnan county was abolished, it was under the jurisdiction of Yushu county and changed to shanglaxiu township. In 1972, it was changed into shanglashiu commune. In 1984, Shangla township was restored. As of October 2019, there are seven animal husbandry committees under the jurisdiction of shanglaxiu village.

In 2011, there were 41000 livestock (individual, piece) on hand at the end of the year in shanglaxiu Township, including 39000 cattle, 115 horses and 20000 sheep; the per capita net income of herdsmen was 2960 yuan.

Nianjing Lake

Nianjing lake is located in shanglaxiu Township, Yushu County, about 60 kilometers away from Jiegu Town, Yushu prefecture. It is about 4200 meters above sea level, over 90 square kilometers above sea level, and about 30 meters deep. The salinity of the lake water is high, and it belongs to saline lake. The lake is rich in plateau naked carp. In spring and summer, birds such as spotted headed geese, fish gulls, red ducks, swans and black necked cranes hatch here. The lake is clear and green, like a beautiful mirror embedded in the deep green mountains, surrounded by cattle, sheep and tents. The scenery is very attractive. It is said that every night on the 15th day of the Tibetan calendar, a wonderful sound of musical instruments comes from the lake. Zanba

Zanba is a Tibetan transliteration of fried noodles mixed with ghee. The processing method of fried noodles in Tibet is different from that in the mainland. It is fried highland barley and then processed into powder with a small mill, so it has a milk powder like fragrance. Due to the introduction of high-fat, high protein butter, Qula and milk tea, Zanba is not only soft and fragrant, but also rich in nutrition. Zanba is mixed by hand: in a small dragon bowl, the bottom of the bowl is tea, the oil in the tea, and the top of the oil is fried noodles. Use your right index finger to slowly press the fried noodles along the edge of the bowl, press and stir them, then close the four fingers, gently buckle the center of the bowl, turn and rub them, and mix them into an edible oil dough. This is Zanba.

The fruit of life

The scientific name of Juema, commonly known as Pteridophyte longevity fruit, is a wild plant of plateau Rosaceae, which is widely distributed all over Qinghai. It is produced in Guoluo and Yushu areas as the top grade. The ginseng fruit has the characteristics of round body, plump flesh, full grain, bright red color and high yield. It is one of the rare local products in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province. It is a wild plant of Potentilla anserina of Rosaceae on the plateau. It grows on the Qinghai Tibet Plateau with an altitude of 4000-5000 meters. It has no pollution and is a natural green food.
