Mangqu town
Mangqu Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Guinan County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located on the South Bank of the Yellow River. It starts from Longyang Gorge in the East, borders mugetan in the south, ends at Lagan village of Mangla Township in the west, and faces Tiegai township of Gonghe County across the Yellow River in the north. It is the residence of Guinan county government. The administrative area is 91.22 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the population of Manchu town registered residence was 16608. As of October 2019, Mangqu town has 4 communities and 11 administrative villages.
In 2011, the gross output value of Mangqu town was 36.27 million yuan. The per capita net income of farmers is 3650 yuan. In 2018, there were 28 industrial enterprises in Mangqu town.
History of construction
In 1978, in order to support the construction of Longyangxia Hydropower Station, a national key project, the township moved to wubaowan farm, 3 kilometers away from the county seat.
In 1992, Mangla township was divided into five villages, viz. Fengjiang, Hezhou, Tawa, Naran and Jiangdang.
On September 28, 2001, Mangqu town was established after the township was removed.

Mangqu town is located in the northeast of Qinghai Tibet Plateau, in the transition zone between Qilian Mountain and Kunlun Mountain, between the west mountain and the Yellow River. It is the valley of the Yellow River, and the terrain inclines from east to northwest. Most of the areas are 3000-3500 meters above sea level and belong to the Gonghe basin.
