Sujitan Township
Sujitan Township, belonging to Menyuan Hui Autonomous County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is located in the west of the county, bordering qingshizui town in the East, Datong County and Haiyan County in the south, Qilian County in the West and Datong River in the north. The area is 694.84 square kilometers. In 2018, 2106 people registered residence.
After 1938, it belonged to the general office of the five nationalities. After 1949, it was the township of five nationalities in the second district. After 1953, it was the Fifth District and five nationality township. After 1956, it was called the five nationality area, and the Xianghua and other three nationalities were separated into sujitan township. In 1958, it was changed into sujitan commune. In 1969, it was changed into sujitan commune. In 1984, it was changed to sujitan township. As of October 2019, sujitan has jurisdiction over five administrative villages.
In 2018, sujitan township has 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Sujitan township is located in the west of the county, bordering qingshizui town in the East, Datong County and Haiyan County in the south, Qilian County in the west, Datong River in the north, and zhasa and Menyuan horse breeding farm in Qilian. The area is 694.84 square kilometers.
topographic features
Sujitan township is located at the northern foot of Daban mountain. The three villages of oat tuhu, Chahan Dawu and zhamatu are located on the South Bank of Haomen. Yaocaoliang and sujitan Bay are located on the North Bank of Haomen. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East. It slopes from northeast to southwest. There are many hills and mountains, belonging to the type of hills and mountains, with crisscross gullies and few flat dams. The average altitude is 3100-3700 meters. Balahatu, the highest peak, is 3700 meters above sea level, and SHIZIKOU, sujiwan village, the lowest, is 3100 meters above sea level. It is a typical mountainous area.

In 2011, sujitan township has formed a transportation network composed of railway and highway. Tiesu highway is 37 km long. Qingke highway passes through yaocaoliang and sujiwan villages. Yaocaoliang village implements road hardening of 2 km, and villages in the township are connected with sanding roads.
