Chakhandus Township
Chahandus Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Xunhua Salar Autonomous County, Haidong City, Qinghai Province, is located in the west end of Xunhua Salar Autonomous County and the valley on the South Bank of the Yellow River. It connects Jiezi town in the East, guleng Township in Xunhua County in the south, Hualong County in the West and gandu town in Hualong County across the river in the north. The administrative area is 105.62 square kilometers.
By the end of 2018, the registered residence of the people in Cha's town was 18647. As of October 2019, chakhandus township has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages.
In 2011, the total agricultural output value of chakhandus township was 90.834 million yuan, an increase of 12.05 million yuan or 15.3% over the previous year. In 2018, chakhandus township has one industrial enterprise and eight comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
During the yuan and Ming Dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Salar chieftains.
During the Qing Dynasty, it was the labor territory of Chahan temple, which was under the jurisdiction of thousands of Salars.
In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), it belonged to Chahan temple in the first district, Suzhi township.
On July 27, 1952, it belonged to the fourth district.
August 10, 1955, under the jurisdiction of Jiezi.
On August 21, 1956, the district was withdrawn and Suzhi township was still established.
In July 1958, it was called Tuanjie Township. On September 1 of the same year, it merged and established the red flag commune.
On July 1, 1961, the red flag commune was abolished and chahansi commune was established.
On October 3, 1966, it was changed into red flag commune.
In June 1984, the township was changed into chakhandus township.

By the end of 2011, chahandus Township had 17 villagers' committees: ahetan, Yazang, hadahai, Suzhi, yimahai, Xincun, Baizhuang, breeding farm, Xiazhuang, Zhongzhuang, Dazhuang, Xinjian, Tuanjie, zanbhu Shangzhuang, zanbhu Zhongzhuang, zanbhu Xiazhuang, Gushi group, and 73 villagers' groups. There are 31 natural villages.
As of October 2019, hada town has 17 administrative villages: Xiazhuang village, Yazang village, hadahai village, Suzhi village, yimahi village, Xincun village, Tuanjie village, Baizhuang village, ahetan village, Zhongzhuang village, Dazhuang village, Xinjian village, hongguangshang village, hongguangxia village, zanbhu village, gushiqun village and breeding farm village.

The Yellow River starts from the Yellow River Bridge in Jianzha county and enters Gongboxia gorge. It flows through nearly 30 kilometers of high mountain gorge road and 15 kilometers of river valley, creating a unique resource advantage for the construction of hydropower stations. About 30000 mu of water area has been formed in chakhandus Township, which also creates conditions for further development of aquaculture.

Scenic Spots and Historical Sites
Hongguang mosque is located in zanbuhushang Village (also known as Hongguang Village) of chakhandus Township, covering an area of 4 mu. It is a quadrangle layout, which is composed of gate, hall, North and South rooms and main hall. It is the only mosque built by the Red Army in China, which was captured by Qinghai warlord Ma Bufang from 1936 to 1946 and built by Chinese workers, peasants and Red Army soldiers with the help of local minority people. In December 1998, Qinghai provincial government listed the temple as a provincial cultural relic protection unit; in 2006, it was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit.
Located in zanbuhuzhong village, chakhandus Township, the memorial tower for the martyrs of red car west road army of Chinese workers and peasants was completed in 1987. It was built in memory of the martyrs of the West Route Army. There are inscriptions of Provincial People's government, Qinghai military region, Xunhua County Party committee and County People's government. There is an inscription behind the tower. In 1990, the people's Government of Qinghai Province listed it as a key martyr memorial building protection unit.
Mengulugongbei is located on the cliff on the South Bank of the Yellow River in the middle of Gongboxia, chakhandus township. According to the preliminary research, it was built in the middle and late Qing Dynasty. An Islamic sage appeared here. After being discovered by the local Muslim masses, a monument was built. It became a holy land for the Saka, Tibetan, Hui, Han and other nationalities in the five northwest provinces to believe in, worship and pray. It is also the only place for religious activities held by different nationalities and religions in China.
