History of construction

In October 1949, it was shangwuzhuang Township, the Fifth District of Huangzhong County.

In February 1951, it was renamed shangwuzhuang Hui Autonomous Region, under the jurisdiction of bangba, Xiakou, lamutai, heergai and lalning.

In 1956, it was renamed shangwuzhuang district.

In 1958, it was called shangwuzhuang commune (Dongfeng commune).

In February 1960, it was transferred to Xining city.

In 1962, it was assigned to Huangzhong County.

In 1965, it was renamed shangwuzhuang commune.

In 1984, it was renamed shangwuzhuang Hui Township.
