Xiaoqiao street, a street under the jurisdiction of Chengbei District, Xining City, Qinghai Province, is located in the northwest of Xining city and the south central part of Chengbei District, in the triangle area where Huangshui River and Beichuan River meet. It faces Chaoyang Street across Beichuan River in the East, Xichuan River in the south, Xinning bridge in the west, Huangshui River in the west, Haihu bridge in the west, and animal husbandry and Veterinary College in the north. The administrative area is 6.8 square kilometers.

History of construction
In the early years of the Republic of China, villages were set up.
In April 1938, Baojia system was established in abandoned villages, which was under the jurisdiction of three districts of Xining county.
On June 11, 1946, Xining city was established and divided into six townships in the Second District of Xining city.
On September 8, 1949, Xining Municipal People's government was established. Xiaoqiao was under the jurisdiction of the Fifth District and seven townships.
In 1954, Xining was divided into eastern and western suburbs. Xiaoqiao area was xiaoqiaoer Township, a western suburb.
In August 1956, Chengxi district was established and xiaoqiaoer street was established.
In 1957, the system of Chengxi district was abolished, and xiaoqiaoer street was assigned to Chengzhong district.
In 1958, Xiaoqiao was changed into Xiaoqiao commune with three branches (Jianshe lane, Xiaoqiao street and Maosheng Temple). In October of the same year, guchitai commune and Xiaoqiao commune merged into guchitai commune.
In May 1961, Chengxi district was abolished, and Xiaoqiao commune was under the jurisdiction of the city.
In April 1962, Xiaoqiao commune was under the direct leadership of the municipal government.
In February 1963, the West District of the city was restored, and Xiaoqiao street was re established, with four residents committees under its jurisdiction, namely Jianshe Xiangbei, Xiaoqiao street, Jianshe Xiangnan and Maosheng temple.
In 1964, it was changed into Xiaoqiao street.
In 1974, Jianshe lane was divided into three residents' committees: the north, the middle and the south of Jianshe lane.
In 1978, Chaoyang was designated.
In January 1981, another 20 Li Pu was set out.
In May 1986, the suburb was abolished and Xiaoqiao street was established, belonging to the North District of the city.

As of October 2019, Xiaoqiao street has jurisdiction over six communities: Jianshe Lane community, xinhaiqiao community, maoshengsi community, Xiaoqiao community, new century community and Xihai Road community, and five administrative villages: maoshengsi village, huaxingyuan village, taojiazhai village, Taoxin village and Xiaoqiao village.

History and culture
Xiaoqiao street is called xiaoqiaoli and xiaoqiaoer. Xinzhi of Xining Prefecture contains Xinzhi of Xining Prefecture Volume 13: "Xichuan River Bridge is three li to the west of the city", also known as Xiaoqiao, which is to the north of Xinning bridge today.
