Xicang town
Xicang Town, belonging to Luqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Luqu County, bordering Shuangcha Township in the East, larenguan Township in the south, maai town in the West and Jicang Township in Xiahe County in the north. The area is 245.58 square kilometers. In 2018, 2704 people registered residence.
In 1956, Xicang district was established. In 1958, the district was withdrawn and the red flag commune was established. At the end of the year, it merged with Guangming commune and was called Xicang commune. In 1966, Xicang township was renamed Hongxing township. In 1968, the name of Xicang township was restored and the Revolutionary Committee of Xicang township was established. At the beginning of 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In 2017, the township was removed and the town was built. In June 2020, Xicang town governs three administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 2 industrial enterprises in Xicang town and 2 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

hydrology
The river course in Xicang town belongs to the Taohe River system of the Yellow River Basin. It flows from maai to Gongqu of Xicang Township, with a length of 50 km.
