Nanyu Township
Nanyu Township, belonging to Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Zhouqu County, adjacent to Dachuan town in the East, Wuping township of Guoye Township in the south, Jiangpan Township in the West and Dongshan Township in the north. The area is 64.81 square kilometers. In 2018, 4231 people registered residence.
In 1949, it was formerly called Nanyu township. After 1949, it became Nanyu township of Chengguan District. In 1954, Nanyu township was assigned to Dangchang county. In 1956, it returned to Nanyu Township, Dachuan District, Zhouqu County. In 1958, it was incorporated into Dachuan community (Nanyu management area). In 1962, it was changed into Nanyu commune. In 1984, it was changed to Nanyu township. In June 2020, Nanyu countryside governs eight administrative villages.
In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Nanyu township.

Nanyu township is a typical high mountain gorge area with overlapping mountains, crisscross gullies and broken terrain. It belongs to the West extension of the West Qinling Mountains. The highest peak is 2500 meters above sea level and the lowest point is 1200 meters.
