Quwa Township
Quwa Township, belonging to Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Zhouqu County. It faces bazang Township across the river in the East, Dayu Township in the south, Duoer Township in Diebu County in the West and Luoda Township in Diebu County in the north. The area is 149 square kilometers. In 2018, 4218 people registered residence.
After 1949, it was named chuwa temple. In June 1954, chuwa township (United District) was established. In 1958, it was incorporated into the Pakistan Tibet commune. In 1962, chuwa commune was established. In 1983, it was changed to chuwa township. In 1984, it was renamed quwa township. In June 2020, quwa rural area governs seven administrative villages.
In 2018, there were 5 industrial enterprises in quwa township.

In June 2020, quwa village governs seven administrative villages: chengma village, zhanzang village, jiaran village, tougouba village, baizang village, xiaozang village and Shuiquan village. The Township People's government is stationed in chengma village.

Quwa township is located in the upper reaches of Bailong River. The terrain gradually decreases from west to East, and presents the topographic characteristics of "three mountains with two gullies". It is a typical high mountain gorge area with overlapping mountains, crisscross gullies and broken terrain. The highest point in the territory is 3860 meters above sea level, and the lowest point is 1620 meters above sea level.
