Kaerqin town
Kaerqin Town, belonging to Zhuoni County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the upper reaches of the Taohe River, in the southwest of Zhuoni County, with Liulin town in the East, guanggaishan in the south, Diebu County in the south, and shubu Township and Chengguan town in Lintan County in the Northwest. The area is 789.98 square kilometers. In 2018, 10870 people registered residence.
After 1949, Taonan working group was set up in dazido village. In 1953, Taonan district was established. In 1957, the district was withdrawn and the township was named truck township. Later, it merged with Han nationality township and named Taonan commune. In 1959, linzhuo County merged and belonged to Taonan brigade of Liulin commune. In 1962, separated from the Han nationality, truck township was established. In 1966, the truck commune was officially named. In 1982, it was renamed truck township. In 2006, it merged with Han nationality township and established kaerqin township. In April 2017, kaerqin township was abolished and kaerqin town was established. In June 2020, 12 administrative villages will be under the jurisdiction of kalqin town.
