Yudu town
Yudu Town, belonging to Jingchuan County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Jingchuan county. It is connected with Fengtai Township in the East, Chengguan town in the south, dangyuan Township in the West and Shuguang town in Zhenyuan County in the north. The total area of the administrative area is 101.57 square kilometers, and as of the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in the town of Yu Du is 29027.
Yudu town is named for its Yudu temple, which was built in September of 1847 and destroyed in 1958. In November 1983, the political and social integration system was abolished and changed to Yudu township. In May 1986, it was changed into Yudu town. As of June 2020, Yudu town has jurisdiction over 21 administrative villages.
In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Yudu town was 3840 yuan. In 2018, Yudu town has three comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
Yudu town is named for its Yudu temple.
According to the tablet of "Yudu Temple", yududian was built in September of 1847 and destroyed in 1958.
In the Qing Dynasty, Yudu town belonged to yaotouli.
Before 1949, it was Guilin Township first, and then Yudu town.
After 1949, Yudu district was established.
In 1956, Fengtai and dangyuan were merged into Yudu district.
In 1958, the district was changed into Yudu Township, and Yudu commune was established in the same year.
In 1961, Fengtai, zhangzhan, dangyuan, Hedao and Honghe communes were established. Later, the working committee of Yudu district was established, which governed dangyuan, Hedao and Yudu commune.
In 1962, Kangle commune was established.
In 1963, Kangle commune was merged into Yudu commune.
In November 1983, the political and social integration system was abolished and changed to Yudu township.
In May 1986, it was changed into Yudu town.

By the end of 2011, Yudu town had 16 villager committees including Duanxian, Kangjia, Lihu, Xiaao, Wangzhai, Guancun, Yudu, yinjiawa, guoma, Xinghuo, Xiwang, Liulihe, Paiqi, Jiawa, guojiazui and taiyangdun, and 129 villager groups.

Yudu town is located in the gully region of the Loess Plateau in the east of Gansu Province, with broad and flat Tableland and long strip shape; the terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The terrain is mainly tableland, with both mountain and tableland. The soil is mostly developed from loess parent material, and a small amount of red soil is exposed in some sections, mostly yellow cotton soil, black loessial soil and red soil. The altitude of the territory is 1100-1398 meters. The climate belongs to warm temperate semi humid monsoon region, with obvious continental climate characteristics. Affected by the monsoon, it has four distinct seasons, dry in spring, high temperature in summer, continuous rain in autumn and cold and dry in winter. The annual average temperature is 10 ℃, the average ground temperature is 12.6 ℃, the maximum frozen soil depth is 51 cm, and the frost free period is 174 days. The annual average rainfall is 549 mm, and the rainfall is concentrated from July to September, accounting for 70% of the annual rainfall, the relative humidity is 69%, and the annual evaporation is 1339.6 mm.
hydrology
The rivers in Yudu town are mainly river surface and inland beach. The largest rivers are Tang River and Liu Li River, tributaries of the red river. They flow from xiwangtanwa to Liulihe village and to Chuankou of Zhenyuan County, with a length of about 9800 meters.
