Laojun Township, subordinate to Shandan County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located in the east of Shandan County, Yongchang County in the East, damaying Township in the South and Chenhu Township in the West and North. It covers an area of 568.77 square kilometers. In 2018, the registered residence of the old army township was 7325.
In 1938, Baojia was set up in Fengyun township. In 1962, the old army commune was established. In 1983, the old army commune was transformed into a township. In 1994, the township government moved to Fengcheng development zone. As of October 2019, Laojun township has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in Fengcheng village.

Historical evolution

In 1958, it belonged to Hongxing commune. In the same year, Hongxing commune was renamed Weiqi commune.
In 1959, it was transferred to Xinchengzi commune of Sunan Yugur Autonomous County.
