Camel town
Camel town, subordinate to Gaotai County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located in the south of Gaotai County, adjacent to Nanhua town in the East, Sunan Yugur Autonomous County in the south, Xinba town in the west, Landao town and Xuanhua town in the north. It covers an area of 276.4 square kilometers.
In the early Ming Dynasty, it was abandoned and became a natural pasture for camel herders. For a long time, it was called camel city. In the early 1970s, more than 70 households of Zhengyuan commune moved to camel city and became the earliest owners of camel City Development Zone. Since then, farmers have been relocated for development, and Zhengyuan, Xuanhua and laneway farms have been built. In 2000, it took over the three villages of Xinjian, luotuocheng and Xitan. In 2014, the township was replaced by township. As of June 2020, Luotuo town has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in Yongsheng Village.
In 2018, there were 10 industrial enterprises in camel town, including 7 industrial enterprises above Designated Size and 24 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In Tang Dynasty, Jiankang county was established.
In the early Ming Dynasty, it was abandoned and became a natural pasture for camel herders. For a long time, it was called camel city.
In the early 1970s, more than 70 households of Zhengyuan commune moved to camel city and became the earliest owners of camel City Development Zone. Since then, farmers have been relocated for development, and Zhengyuan, Xuanhua and laneway farms have been built.
In 1983, some farmers in the new dam and Hongya Zi moved to the original army farm, and were zoned near Zhengyuan, Xuanhua and laneway farms, forming 8 natural villages, namely, the spring, the Wutong, the new union, the Hongxin, the unity, the Jian Kang, the Yongsheng and the Qianjin village.
In July 1984, camel and urban areas were officially established, and the offices of township government offices were located in Wutong village.
In 1993, the township government moved to Yongsheng Village and took over hongdoucao base (Guoshu Village) and sprinkler irrigation station (Xinmin Village) in the same year.
In 2000, it took over the three villages of Xinjian, luotuocheng and Xitan.
In 2014, the township was replaced by township.
