Longqu Township, belonging to Ganzhou District, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Ganzhou District, with Daman town in the East, Qilian Mountain in the south, Heihe River in the West and Xiaoman town in the north. It covers an area of 49.08 square kilometers. In 2018, 11430 households registered residence in dragon canal township.
In 1949, Longshou district was established in Zhangye county. In 1958, Longqu commune was established. In 1970, Longqu commune was restored. In 1983, it was changed into Longqu township. As of June 2020, Longqu township has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Baoan village.
