Saishi town

Saishis Town, belonging to Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, Wuwei City, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, adjacent to Minle Township and wushengyi town of Yongdeng County in the southeast, facing Jiading town of Huzhu County in Qinghai Province across Datong River in the southwest, Tanshanling town in the West and Shimen town in the northeast. The administrative area is 407 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of the town of Se se was 12199.

Saishi town was named after the Tibetan tribe saishi. Saishi, which means "golden Great Wall" in Tibetan. In the Yuan Dynasty, saishi town was located in Zhuanglang County. In October 1985, datan, Gucheng, saishi Township and Tucheng ranch were merged into saishi township. In August 2002, saishi township was built. As of June 2020, saishi town has jurisdiction over 1 community, 11 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in Gucheng village.

History of construction

In Yuan Dynasty, saishi town belonged to Zhuanglang County.

In the Ming Dynasty, Zhuanglang County was changed into Zhuanglang Wei.

In 1753, Zhuanglang tea horse was under the jurisdiction of Tongzhi.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was under the jurisdiction of Pingfan county.

In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it belonged to Zhuanglang tea and Ma Lipan Tongzhi.

In 1936, it belonged to Liancheng Town, Yongdeng County.

In October 1949, it was saishi Tibetan Township and Gucheng Township in Yongdeng County.

In December 1956, it was assigned to Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County, belonging to Moke district.

In December 1958, it was the Gucheng brigade, kecha brigade and Tucheng ranch of Gucheng commune.

In July 1962, it belonged to Gucheng District, yehuchuan, kecha, datan commune and Tucheng pasture.

In October 1968, it served as Weidong commune, Yonghong commune and Weidong ranch.

In August 1971, it was an ancient city commune and a ranch in Tucheng.

In May 1983, the commune was abolished and datan, Gucheng, saishi and Tucheng townships were set up, belonging to Moco district.

In October 1985, datan, Gucheng, saishi Township and Tucheng ranch were merged into saishi township.

In August 2002, saishi town was built.

The terrain of saishi town is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The main mountains are Zhuozishan, tianmaling, sanbaoshan and qiziling. Tianmaling, the highest peak in the territory, is located at the junction of Shimen town and the northern end of the town, with an altitude of 3770 meters; miratai, the lowest point, is located at the Northern Bank of Datong River, the southernmost end of the territory, with an altitude of 2040 meters, which is also the lowest altitude point of Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County.
