Amber town
Amber Town, belonging to Maiji District, Tianshui, Gansu, is located in the northwest of Maiji District, east of Xinyang Town, south of Qinzhou District, Guankou, Xikou Town, West and Gangu six peaks, Jinping Township, north of Weihe and Five Dragon Town, with a total area of 39.75 square kilometers, and 13265 registered residence in 2018.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it successively belonged to the Fifth District, Sanyang Township and Yanhe town. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), established amber Township, jurisdiction and the original Phoenix township. In 1949, it was divided into Fenghuang township. In September 1958, amber was incorporated into Xinyang commune. In 1968, it was renamed Hongguang commune. In 1971, it was renamed amber commune. In 2004, Qinghu, xinjungou and Yangjiawan were merged into amber township. In October 2015, the township was set up. As of June 2020, amber town has one community and 12 administrative villages.
At the end of 2011, amber town had 43 commercial outlets and 75 employees; the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 9.6 million yuan, an increase of 18.2% over the previous year; the transaction volume of urban and rural fair trade was 6.39 million yuan, an increase of 10.2% over the previous year.
