Manshuitan Township, a township under the jurisdiction of Jingtai County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Jingtai County and the hinterland of Jingdian phase II irrigation area. It is adjacent to Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the East, provincial highway 308 and shangshawo town in the south, Changling mountain in the West and the southern edge of Tengger Desert in the north, with a total administrative area of 133.83 square kilometers.

The rainfall is mainly concentrated from August to October, with the most in September. Manshuitan is a boundless wasteland. It rushes directly into the wasteland at the mouth of a large Shahejie river. When it encounters rainstorm and flood, it rolls from the upper reaches of Shahe River and flows down. The flood on the wide wasteland is long, so it is named manshuitan.
