Puzi Township, belonging to Wanzhou District of Chongqing, is located in the southeast of Wanzhou District, adjacent to Lichuan City in Hubei Province in the East, Moudao town in Lichuan City in Hubei Province in the south, Baitu town and Henghe Tujia Township in the west, and Yaoling Township in Yunyang County in the north. It is 34 kilometers away from the government of Wanzhou District, with a total area of 85.7 square kilometers.
Before 1949, Puzi township was divided into Baitu Township and Fengyi township; in March 1992, puziling Township and Fengmu Township were merged into Puzi township. By the end of 2018, the population of Pu Zi Township registered residence was 14876. As of June 2020, Puzi rural governs 8 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located at No. 8 Xuefu street.
The main food crops in Puzi township are wheat and corn; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, cattle, sheep and poultry. In 2018, Puzi township has 6 industrial enterprises and 5 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
Before 1949, it belonged to Baitu Township and Fengyi township.
In February 1953, it belonged to maotianba commune.
In 1962, the people's commune was named Puzi commune.
In March 1992, puziling Township and Fengmu Township were merged into Puzi Township, belonging to Wanxian county.
In early February 1993, it was changed to Wuqiao district.
In March 2005, it belongs to Wanzhou District.
