Tongchewan town

Tongchewan town belongs to Ningshan County, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the southwest of Ningshan County, it borders Chengguan town in the East, Meizi town in the south, simudi town in the west, Huangguan town and Xinchang Town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 17.8 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 22.7 kilometers, with a total area of 185 square kilometers.

Historical evolution

During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), a drum car (wooden wheel and barrel) was built at Wenshui River Bay. It was powered by water and used to lift water to irrigate the fields, so it was named as the drum car Bay, hence the name of the town.

After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it successively belonged to the first and third guarantees of the five joint guarantees of Wenchuan and the first and third guarantees of the five townships of Wenchuan.
