Historical evolution
It was originally named Jialu town because the original town people's government was located in gujialu village. In June 2015, Shaanxi Province adjusted the township administrative division to its current name.
In the fifth year of Yuanfeng (1082) of the Northern Song Dynasty, jialuzhai was built as the administrative center of every state (county) in the past dynasties.
