Nianzi town
Nianzi town belongs to Zhenba County, Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northeast of the county, adjacent to Shuangping town of Hanyin County in the East, BAMIAO town and Guanyin Town in the west, Liaoyuan town of Ziyang County of Ankang City in the South and Lianghekou town of Xixiang County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 11.3 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 10.2 kilometers, covering a total area of 98 square kilometers.
Nianziya ancient town and Tang Xiao's wife Liu's chastity memorial archway are located in nianziya town.
As of June 2020, Nianzi town has one community and five administrative villages. By the end of 2018, 11857 households registered residence in the town. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Nianzi town was 129.9 million yuan, and the total industrial output value reached 17 million yuan.
Historical evolution
In the sixth year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1741), it was named after its location in niancaoshanya.
In 1809, Xixiang County was put under the jurisdiction of Dingyuan department, and Dongxiang County was set up as the land of Lixi in guirenli.
In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Naxi village, East District of Zhenba County was set up.
In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), Naxi Lianbao No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 were set up.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), there were No.1, No.2 and No.3 Bao in Naxi township.
In 1950, nianziya Township and huangsiya Township were set up in Naxi district.
In May 1950, it was incorporated into Guanyin district.
In May 1955, Nianzi district was set up, including Nianzi, Sanguan, Renshou, Shangba and Houhe townships.
In May 1956, it was merged into nianziya commune.
In 1961, Sanguan, Shangba and Houhe management areas of nianziya commune were set up.
In September 1963, it was renamed Nianzi District Office Sanguan, Xinmiao and Houhe commune.
In December 1966, it was renamed Dongfeng, Xinsheng and Houhe communes in Dongfeng district.
In February 1971, it was restored to Dongfeng, Xinsheng and Houhe communes under the jurisdiction of Nianzi district.
In 1980, the residence of Nianzi district government office was relocated.
In January 1981, Dongfeng commune was renamed Nianzi commune.
In May 1984, it was changed into Nianzi District Office, Nianzi, Xinmiao and Houhe township.
In May 1996, the three townships were merged into Nianzi town.

The maximum distance from east to west is 11.3 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 10.2 kilometers, covering a total area of 98 square kilometers.

Nianzi town is located in the low mountain flat area, with high terrain in the southwest and low terrain in the northeast. There are many peaks in the southeast, open and gentle in the north, and connected with valleys and dams.
