Longting Township

Longting township is a township under the jurisdiction of wusheng County, Guang'an City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the southeast of wusheng County, bordering Leshan, Yongsheng, Jiezi, Shayu, Longshi and other townships in Hechuan District, Chongqing. The township covers an area of 19.38 square kilometers and has a population of 7298 (2017). The Township People's government moved from Fenghuangshan to Baiyang village in May 1997, which is 15 kilometers away from the county seat.

Historical evolution

In the Qing Dynasty, Longting Township belonged to Ziba, enyongli street. In February of the Republic of China (1942), it was divided into Fenghuang Township, Fenghuang commune in 1958, Longting commune in 1981, and Longting Township in 1983.
