Getai Township
Getai Township belongs to Huanglong County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the northeast mountainous area of Huanglong County, adjacent to Jiyi town of Yichuan County in the East, Shibao town and baimatan town in the south, jiaoyaohu Township in the west, and Danzhou street of Yichuan County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 24.8 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 29.9 km, with a total area of 430.37 square kilometers.
There are one huashiya grottoes and one liugoucheng site in Getai township.
As of June 2020, Getai rural area has jurisdiction over four administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence population in Ge Tai township was 2295. In 2011, the gross agricultural output value of Getai township was 25.6 million yuan, the balance of various deposits was 16.87 million yuan, the balance of various loans was 5.82 million yuan, and the balance of residents' savings deposits was 13.25 million yuan.
Historical evolution
Because there was a platform where Cui people lived in the past, it got the name of Cui family Getai, or Getai for short. The township is named after the village.
In 1939, it was an autonomous region.
In 1948, the five districts were changed into eight townships, namely liangjiawan, Getai, Goukou, duling, Zhangjiahe, zhuanmiaoliang, luohanzhuang and wazijie.
In 1952, sunjiagoumen and Liugou were added.
In 1956, it was divided into seven townships: Getai, Xinmin, wazijie, zhuanmiaoliang, Liugou, liangjiawan and duling.
In September 1958, Dongfeng commune was established.
In 1959, it changed its name to Getai commune and separated Wazi street and zhuanmiaoliang; in November of the same year, it was put under Yichuan County.
In September 1961, it was restored to Huanglong county.
In 1984, the township was set up.
In 2001, zhuanmiaoliang township was abolished and merged into Getai township.
