Historical evolution
According to the records of Yuanfeng jiuyu in Song Dynasty, Xinshi town was once established. From the Yuan Dynasty to the first year of the Yuan Dynasty (1264), Xiaying was abandoned and entered Weinan county. It was ranked as the eighth market town in sequence. Because Xin was the eighth in tiangan, it was renamed Xinshi town.
