Qingyuan town

Qingyuan Town, subordinate to Xunyi County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of the county. Hao village, where the town government is located, is 12 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Yaozhou District of Tongchuan City in the East, Tuqiao town in the South and Chengguan Street in the northwest, with a total area of 170.26 square kilometers and a permanent population of 9658 (2017).

In June 1984, Qingyuan township was set up when the government and society were separated. In December 2010, it was changed to Qingyuan town. As of October 2019, Qingyuan town has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, including Hao village, Qujiawan village, ban village, Lvjia village, Zhaojia village and Shimen village. On May 26, 2020, Qingyuan town was selected into the list of strong agricultural towns in 2020.

Historical evolution

In 1950, Xunyi county established Qingyuan district.

In March 1956, Lu's hometown was established.

In September 1958, Lu's hometown and xingshuwan village of Shimen Township merged to form Hongqi people's commune.

In December 1958, Xunyi county was incorporated into Fuxian County, and then Lujia management area was set up, which was subordinate to Fuyi people's commune.

In August 1961, after Xunyi county system was restored, Qingyuan people's commune was established.

In June 1984, Qingyuan township was set up when the government and society were separated.

In 2001, Shimen township was merged into Qingyuan township.

Hao village, Qingyuan Town, is the birthplace of the early revolution of Xunyi. In 1928, Xunyi peasant uprising was launched from here. In 1937, Liu Zhidan established a revolutionary base here.

Forest Park

Shimenshan Forest Park was established in 1994 with the approval of Shaanxi Provincial Forestry Department. The park has many peaks, luxuriant trees, fresh air and humid climate. The highest temperature in summer is 21 ℃.
