Qiaodi town

Qiaodi Town, belonging to Jingyang County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the central and western part of the county, adjacent to Zhongzhang, yanwang and Yunyang towns in the East, Jinghe River in the South and Taiping Town in the south, Wangqiao town and Qiandong town in Liquan County in the west, and Xinglong town in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 85 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 9 kilometers, with a total area of 44.70 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, Qiaodi town has one community and 13 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of bridge bottom town was 33405. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Qiaodi town reached 250 million yuan, the total industrial output value reached 73989 million yuan, and the total retail sales of social consumer goods reached 290 million yuan.

Historical evolution

According to the records of Jingyang County, in the middle of the Tang Dynasty, merchants gathered there and traded on the lowland beside a stone bridge in Baiqu, so it was named Qiaodi town.

Before 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Shiqiao township.

After 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of seven districts.

In 1956, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged into Shiqiao township.

In December 1958, Shiqiao commune was established.

In May 1984, it was changed to Qiaodi town.
