Historical evolution
The name comes from the local villagers, who take the name of the village with the meaning of "bumper harvest all year round" and get the name from the people's Government of the town in Changfeng Village.
In October 1949, it belonged to cuimu district.
In September 1952, it belonged to Miaowan district.
In September 1958, it was subordinate to cuimu commune. In December of the same year, it set up Changfeng management area of cuimu commune.
In September 1961, Changfeng commune was set up with seven production teams under its jurisdiction.
In March 1985, Changfeng township was set up, with jurisdiction over seven administrative villages.
In October 2001, the original Miaowan Township, Miaowan, Shicun, fotangsi three administrative villages were merged into Changfeng Township, under the jurisdiction of 10 administrative villages.
