Tiancheng town
Tiancheng Town, subordinate to Longxian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the west of Longxian county. It faces Chengguan town in the East, Xiangquan town of Chencang District in the south, Malu town of Zhangjiachuan county and Shanmen town of Qingshui County in the west, and caojiawan town in the north. The maximum distance between East and West is 31.40 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 31.16 km, with a total area of 399.06 square kilometers.
Guanshan grassland scenic spot in Tiancheng town is the only provincial scenic spot with European style in northwest inland area, which is the national 3A scenic spot.
As of June 2020, Tiancheng town has 10 administrative villages. As of 2018, Tiancheng town had a population of 16897 registered residence. In 2011, the total agricultural output value of Tiancheng town was 130.93 million yuan, there were 172 commercial outlets, and the total financial revenue was 1.43 million yuan.
Historical evolution
It is named after Tiancheng castle.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to the joint protection of tianchengbao in the western district.
After 1949, it became Tiancheng District, with jurisdiction over five townships.
In 1958, it belonged to the eighth commune of red flag, with jurisdiction over seven townships.
In 1961, it was renamed Tiancheng commune, which has 15 production teams under its jurisdiction.
In 1966, it was renamed Red Star commune.
In 1979, it was reconstituted into Tiancheng commune.
In 1984, it was changed into Tiancheng Township, which has jurisdiction over 15 administrative villages.
In 1997, it was changed into Tiancheng town.

In September 2001, Guanshan township was abolished and merged into Tiancheng town.
In July 2005, Nanshan village was merged into shangzhaizi village, broom Beach village, chunshutan village and shiyaohe village into Tieyuan village, tongshuiyu village and yuhuangwan village into Zhangjiashan village, hanjiashan village and Xinzhuang village into dianzi village, Sujiahe village into balongtan village.
In July 2011, the town was abolished and wangmazui village was zoned back to Tiancheng town.
By the end of 2011, Tiancheng town had 15 administrative villages including weijiazhuang, Caojiazhuang, Maqu, Wangjiazhuang, shangzhaizi, huangjiagou, fanjiaying, Zhangjiashan, Tieyuan, wangmazui, Dianzi, balongtan, Laohugou, Yinke and Fanjiatai, and 70 villager groups.
As of June 2020, Tiancheng town has 10 administrative villages. The people's government is stationed in shangzhaizi village.

Tiancheng town is located at the foot of Guanshan Mountain and the west end of Qianhe River Road. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East. It belongs to Guanshan Mountain Area and shallow mountain area, with an altitude of 915-2135m.

The climate of Tiancheng town is warm temperate semi humid continental monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is 10.7 ℃, the annual average precipitation is 600mm, and the rainfall is mainly concentrated from July to September.
Water system hydrology
The river course in Tiancheng town belongs to the Weihe River system of the Yellow River Basin. The main river, lipuyu River, flows through Tieyuan, shangzhaizi, Wangjiazhuang, Caojiazhuang and fanjiaying villages from balongtan village to weijiazhuang village, with a flow length of 35.8km, a drainage area of 176.3km2 and an average annual flow of 0.3m3/s.

Guanshan grassland scenic spot
Guanshan grassland scenic spot is a national AAAA scenic spot. It is located at the junction of Shannxi, Gansu and Ningxia, the northwest gate of Qinchuan and the natural barrier of Sanqin. It is an important post station of the ancient Silk Road. It looks at Guanzhong Plain in the East, Longxi mountain in the west, Liupan dragon vein in the north and Qinling ridge in the South. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north, with a height of 2200 meters. It is a transition from mountain to plain.
The alpine climate makes the temperature of Guanshan grassland cool and moist. There is no obvious summer in the whole year. Spring and autumn are connected, and winter is longer. The annual rainfall can reach 700mm. The scenic spot has lush meadows, gentle slopes, broad valleys, round peaks, undulating ridges, green carpet like, and more than ten perennial water channels, winding in the wide valley without any human pollution. The water quality is clear, the flow is stable, the air is fresh, and the climate is pleasant, forming a unique natural tourism resources landscape.
Honorary title
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Tiancheng town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
