Famen town
Famen town belongs to Fufeng County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the north of Fufeng County, adjacent to Zhaogong town in the East, Chengguan town in the south, Qinghua town and Jingdang town in Qishan County in the west, jiuchenggong town in Linyou County in the north, and Tiandu town in the northeast. The maximum distance from east to west is 12 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 20 kilometers, with a total area of 129.42 square kilometers.
Famen town is named after Famen Temple. It is known as the holy land of Buddha bones. It is also the birthplace of Zhouli culture and the site of Zhouyuan site. There are Famen Temple and its pagoda, Zhouyuan site and Zhouyuan History Museum, the provincial cultural relics protection unit, the tomb of Shikuang, a musician of the state of Jin in the spring and Autumn period, and the tomb and stele of Yang in the Tang Dynasty.

Historical evolution
It is named after Famen Temple, a Buddhist temple in the territory.
In the 12th year of emperor Xiaogong of Qin Dynasty (350 BC), meiyang county was established here.
The seventh year of Taiping Zhenjun (447) in the Northern Wei Dynasty belongs to Zhoucheng county.
The sixth year of Jiande in the Northern Zhou Dynasty (577) belonged to Sanlong county.
Sui kaihuang 16 years (596), belongs to Qishan County.

In 633, Qiyang County was built here.
In the third year of Yuanhe (808) of Tang Dynasty, Qiyang town was established as Fengxiang Prefecture.
