Pucun town

Pucun Town, belonging to Qishan County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northeast of Qishan County, adjacent to ZHUJIAZHUANG town in the East, Yidian town in the south, Gujun town in the West and jiuchenggong town in Linyou County in the north. The total area is 77.70 square kilometers.

As of June 2020, Pucun town has seven administrative villages. As of 2018, the population of Pu Village registered residence was 25021. Historical evolution

It was named after the residents of the Pu family who lived here in the early years.

In 1939, it was the hometown of Zhouyuan.

In October 1949, Zhouyuan district was established, with jurisdiction over nine townships.

In March 1956, there were 64 villages in Pucun Township and Nanzhuang township; in December of the same year, it was subordinate to Fengxiang county and set up Pucun and Nanzhuang administrative areas.

In September 1961, it was subordinate to Qishan County and set up Pucun commune. It has 14 production teams and 1 production team directly under its jurisdiction.

In 1966, it was renamed spark commune.
