Ziwu Street
Ziwu street, belonging to Chang'an District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the south of Chang'an District and the north foot of Qinling mountain. It is adjacent to Wutai street and Wangqu street in the East, Luanzhen street and Wutai street in the south, Luanzhen street in the West and Huangliang street in the north, with a total area of 66 square kilometers.
The scenic spots and historic sites in Ziwu Street include Jinxian temple, Xiaowutai, Baita temple, Huayan zongzuting Xiangsi (Guoqing Temple), Ziwu hot spring, etc.

The origin of place names
It is named because it is located at the north end of Ziwu ancient plank road crossing the Qinling Mountains.
History of construction
In the second year of Jingyou (1035), Ziwu town was established.
In the 25th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty (1546), it was officially set up in ziwuli, Hualin township.
In the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty (1723-1735), it was changed to Ziwu.
In the first year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1796), nanchengfu yamen of Chang'an County was set up in Ziwu town. According to the annals of Chang'an County of Jiaqing, Ziwu village governs 19 villages, including Ziwu, Gucheng, Dashao, Diwu, Fudian, Caocan, Xiaguan, Chencun, Xincun, Neiyuan, Huayuan, Qiaocun, Yangjiazhuang, Gecun, and 3 yukou, including Ziwu Valley and baolinyu.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Ziwu village, District, town and joint insurance agency were established successively.
In 1949, it was changed into Ziwu District, which governs Ziwu and other townships.
In 1950, Ziwu city was established.
In 1953, it was renamed Ziwu township.
In 1958, Ziwu district was changed into Ziwu Qinling commune.
In 1961, Ziwu commune was divided into Ziwu commune, Wangzhuang commune, Huangliang commune and Neiyuan commune.
After 1966, it was renamed Shengli commune.
In 1972, the original name was restored.
In 1984, it was built as a town.
In 2002, it merged with Wangzhuang township.
In May 2003, Ziwu town was abolished and Ziwu street was established.

By the end of 2011, Ziwu street had one residential community in North Street, and 19 administrative villages including Ziwu, Zhangcun, Diwu, Fudian, Dongcun, Xicun, Taigou, nandoudou, beidoudou, Qiliping, shibiankou, dongshuizhai, xishuizhai, tianzikou, Caocan, tianziyu, Baolongyu, Baoshi and Wangzhuang, with 99 villager groups.
