Beiyuanmen Street
Beiyuanmen street, belonging to Lianhu District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the southeast of Lianhu District and the northwest of bell tower. Starting from Beida street in the East, it is adjacent to Xiyi road in Xincheng District, reaching Hanguangmen in the South and zhangjiacun street in Beilin District, West to Ximen and Huancheng West Road in the west, and west to Wutai and Qingnian Road in the north, with a total area of 2.7 square kilometers.
In the Ming Dynasty, it was called xuanpingfang. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a governor's office in the north section of the street, called Beiyuan. The North-South street in front of the gate was called Beiyuanmen, so it was named. The scenic spots in the territory include Xi'an bell tower, Xi'an Drum Tower, Beiyuanmen Antique Street, etc.

In the Ming Dynasty, it was called xuanpingfang. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a governor's office in the north section of the street, called Beiyuan. The North-South street in front of the gate was called Beiyuanmen, so it was named.

In 1955, Beiyuanmen street was established.
In 1958, it was renamed Miaohou street.
In January 1960, the original name was restored.
In August 1960, it was renamed Beiyuanmen branch of Lianhu commune.
In 1962, it was changed into Beiyuanmen commune.
In 1966, it was renamed revolutionary Street commune of Hongwei District.
In 1972, it was renamed Beiyuanmen commune.
In 1978, Beiyuanmen street was restored.
In August 2002, Beiyuanmen street, Miaohou street and Xidajie street were merged into Beiyuanmen street.
