Yanmen Township

Yanmen township is located in the south of Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It has jurisdiction over 7 administrative villages and 53 natural villages, including Tuola, Yugong, Guzha, Shidi, chunduole, cizhong and Badong, with a total area of 581 square kilometers. There are seven ethnic groups in Yanmen Township, including Tibetan, Naxi, Lisu, Dulong, Han, Nu and Bai. The ethnic culture and costumes are rich and diverse with their own characteristics. It mainly believes in Buddhism, Catholicism and Dongba religion. There are nearly 200 monks in four temples, four Catholic churches and more than 200 believers.
