national culture
Huyu, in the beautiful southwest border of the motherland, is a mountainous area where all ethnic groups live together. On Pingba, there are Dai, Han, Achang, De'ang and so on. On the higher mountain, there are Jingpo people called "mountain people". As soon as you enter the woods, drums with strong rhythm and powerful force often come out from the dense mountain forests. That is the elephant foot drum dance, which is deeply loved by the Jingpo people, accompanied by three percussion music of elephant foot drum, drum and cymbal. However, the Jingpo people are like variegated flowers quietly opening up in this jungle.
Walking into the Jingpo mountain village in the deep forest, you will find that the Jingpo people are good at singing and dancing. They have created rich and colorful folk music with unique characteristics in their long-term production and life. Traditional music can be divided into three types: sacrifice, life and labor. Sacrificial songs account for a large proportion in Jingpo music, whether it's holding the "Munao vertical song" festival, or funeral, funeral, etc Singing is indispensable for marriage, new house building or valley soul.
If you happen to walk into the cottage during the completion of a new house or festival, you will see a dancer with the drum on his left shoulder, slanting under his armpit, slapping the drum face with fist, palm, finger and elbow alternately, and the body will swing freely with the rhythm of the drum. This is elephant foot dance. The dancer moves slowly and forcefully, and the content is simple and vivid. You will be deeply absorbed Lead, can't help but dance, melt into. If you meet a meeting or a wedding, it will be even more lively. In 1992, Huyu township's own "wenbeng team" would also beat, blow and sing to help welcome guests. When you hear the strong rhythm and feel the passionate melody, how can you not feel "like the spring breeze" and then "passionate"?
But for a person who is not familiar with Jingpo people, the most direct feeling that Jingpo people are good at singing and dancing is to know "Munao dance", which is a group dance in the "Munao vertical song" festival. "Munao Zongge", originally a sacrificial dance, is intended to drive away evil and promote good, wish good luck, celebrate harvest and national unity. "Munao Zongge" Festival is the most grand traditional festival of Jingpo nationality. Tens of thousands of people dance on the same drum. It is a national Carnival in Western China. It is known as "dance of heaven" and "Carnival dance of ten thousand people". As long as there is a venue, even if people from all over the world gather together, they can also perform "Munao vertical song", which is the most spectacular group song and dance in the world. Around the 15th day of the first month of every year is this grand festival. At this time, every village will hold monao songs. Huyu Township, led by Su Wen from six branches of Jingpo, took the first jump in Banling in 1773, becoming the birthplace of Ruili's "Mu Nao song". In 2005, with the care and support of Ma Duan, director of the state people's Congress and other leaders, the site was restored to use.
It usually lasts for 2-3 days, and generally takes 4 dances. The number of dances must be even. It is the most sacred, appealing and cohesive dance of Jingpo people. Before the dance, there are some sacrificial activities for "Dong Sa" (Mr. Dong SA). The dancers step forward, and the upper body swings with the steps. The man is wearing a white or black round neck jacket, with short and wide trouser legs, lace patterns and colored beads on the Baotou cloth, He was wearing a waist knife, a tube handkerchief, a fine woven bag with beautiful patterns, and a betel nut, a Chinese cabbage and a Chinese cabbage
