development history

In September 1959, 63 pioneers led by Meng Qingshan transferred from olive dam farm in Yunnan Province to Mengla County and founded the earliest Mengla farm. Later, Xiangjiang people from Chairman Mao's hometown of Liling and Qidong, Hunan Province, also came here as supporting personnel and started their entrepreneurial journey. In 1974, Mengla general farm was divided into Mengla, mengbang and Mengman farms; in 1981, Mengxing and Longyin farms were separated again; in 1984, Longyin farm was merged into Mengla farm by enterprise reform. Over the years, the farm has conscientiously implemented the policy of "one industry first, diversified operation, and all-round development".
