Jinghong farm, located in the southwest of Jinghong, is subordinate to the agricultural reclamation branch of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, with 11 branches distributed in Yunjinghong Town, gadong Township and GASA township. It is adjacent to Mengyang farm and olive dam farm in the East, Dongfeng Farm in the south, Menghai County in the West and Naban in the north. Kunluo and Yunda highways pass through the territory.

history

In March 1956, Jinghong farm was established. In January 1963, the field Department moved to the outskirts of Yunjinghong City, and 10 farms including mansha, Manqing, Guanglong, Guanghua, Tianhe, nanlianshan, Jianghe, Feilong, Manhai and Manbo jointly built Jinghong general field. In February 1970, the state-owned Jinghong general field was established as a division and a regiment of Yunnan production and Construction Corps, with 11 battalions under its jurisdiction (another battalion was built in 197), 12 battalions and 180 companies in total. In October 1974, the BINGTUAN was abolished and transformed into a farm Department, 12 battalions into 12 branches, and the company into a production team, thus restoring the farm system. In 1993, with the approval of the higher authorities, the Party committee and the administrative team of Jinghong farm were established respectively.

The main geomorphic types are middle mountain, low mountain, hill, valley and basin. It has unique geographical conditions for planting rubber. It belongs to tropical and quasi tropical monsoon climate, with the lowest altitude of 550 meters, average annual temperature of 21.7 ℃ and annual rainfall of 1209.3 mm. it mainly produces rubber. When the site was built, there were 1226 employees and 56 mu of rubber were planted. In 1961, 18431 mu of rubber was planted, 86 mu of rubber was cut for the first time, and 0.88 tons of dry rubber was produced. In 1970, rubber developed to 99614 mu, producing 436.82 tons of dry rubber, and paying 341600 yuan of profits and taxes to the state for the first time. By the end of 1993, there were 114941 employees, including 8834 employees directly engaged in rubber production and 175916 mu of rubber forest. In 1993, the annual output of dry rubber was 15502.06 tons, with a revenue of 137 million yuan and a profit of 12.09 million yuan. The industry of Jinghong farm has gone through the process from scratch and from small to large, and now it has developed into an industrial group with advanced technology and equipment. Communication: in 1963, the four farms of Jinghong, Guanglong, Feilong and nanlianshan were all equipped with a switchboard with different number of doors, and the single machine was in the Department, which mainly solved the communication problems in the field. In July, a communication and telephone team was set up with a 50 door switchboard. In October 1986, it was changed into 4-door automatic exchange, which solved the communication between the farm and Jinghong area. However, due to the small number of humanistic children, they generally only set up 2-3 compound classes with 20-40 students. In 1965, the first middle school was founded, with 10 teachers and more than 100 students. In 1969, it was closed. In October 1974, Jinghong farm middle school was established, with more than 10 staff, two high school classes and 11 junior high school classes. In 1993, there were 535 teaching staff and 4940 students, including 1071 junior high school students and 816 senior high school students. there are 168 scientific and technological cadres, mainly in the farm production department, forming a scientific and technological team serving for production. Focusing on rubber production, this team has applied a number of science and technology in rubber production, and achieved success in rubber northward migration, electric hot air drying, light color standard rubber, white crepe and other production processes. in 1970, the farm started broadcasting, and 11 branches also started broadcasting industry, and organized the program by themselves. The farm and its branches are all equipped with closed-circuit television, and equipped with television cameras and video equipment to shoot some simple newsreels. in the early stage of the construction, there were health centers in each field, and there were only 1-2 health workers in the health centers. With the development of the farm, the farm staff hospital was established in 1965. In 1982, the health department was set up in the farm to strengthen the leadership of the whole health work. By 1993, there were farm clinics, staff hospitals, 12 branch clinics and 128 production teams' infirmaries, with 492 medical staff and 542 beds. during the 37 years from its establishment to 1993, Jinghong farm has gradually developed into a collective farm with rubber industry as the leader. As a large-scale state-owned enterprise integrating industry and commerce, rubber yield per unit area, per mu and total yield rank first in China. In 1991, he was awarded the honorary title of "Chinese rubber king" by the Ministry of agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries.
