GESHANG township is located in the north of Gujiao City, with a land area of 164.73 square kilometers, belonging to the forest reserve of our city.

Although GESHANG township has a small population, it has a large area and vast land resources suitable for forestry and animal husbandry. The forest area accounts for 94% of the total area and belongs to the forest reserve of our city. At the same time, there are two natural karst caves of Dongxian and Xixian in GESHANG township. The township government is located in GESHANG village, with a permanent population of 350 people (2017). It governs 8 village committees and 25 natural villages, including GESHANG village, maoerjian village, laoshusi village, hongliangyan village, Shizi village, Xicha village, wuduanshan village and Caozhuang village. In 1999, the total rural economic income of the township was 41.6 million yuan, the financial income was 345100 yuan, and the per capita net income was 1491.52 yuan.
