In 1992, the Party committee and government of Kejie town made great efforts to move the market from a small hill to yunbao line. The relocation of bazaars promoted the development of township enterprises and private economy. The number of individual businesses increased from a few to more than 60, forming the rudiment of Kejie small town.
Economics
In 1999, under the guidance of the policy of "small towns, big strategy", the Party committee and government of Kejie town seized the policy opportunity of speeding up the development of small towns, repositioned the construction of market towns, revised the construction plan, and determined to build Kejie town into "an important commodity and material distribution center in Southwest Yunnan". Kejie market town has built an area of about 0.8 square kilometers, forming a street network of two horizontal and three vertical. The construction of four main streets including Liyuan street, yunbao Road, Xuetang road and Jiexin Huayuan South Road has been basically completed, with a total of 39000 square meters of concrete pavement, 13000 square meters of square brick sidewalk and 9000 square meters of green area. 122 elevated street lamps have been erected, and nearly 70% of the commercial land on both sides of the street has been sold. A 6386 square meter agricultural market and a 2000 square meter animal husbandry trading market will be built in the market town. There are 210 self-employed industrial and commercial households, 8 private enterprises, 1 water supply company with a daily water supply capacity of 2000 tons and 1 35dva substation. Branches of state-owned enterprises or joint-stock enterprises such as finance, telecommunications, tobacco, sugar, transportation, etc. have settled down in Kejie. The average number of traders on the fair day is 12000, of which about one third are foreign merchants. The daily turnover is more than 2 million yuan, and the daily distribution of agricultural materials is more than 500 tons.
Natural scenery
While fully reflecting the commodity trading function of the market town, the construction concept of Kejie small town is to let every resident and customer place themselves in an ecological space. The greening in the market town is not only simple and elegant, but also permeated with the strong characteristics of subtropical Valley, highlighting the three-dimensional greening characteristics of green shade, flowers and fruits, and clear hierarchy. The carefully designed lychee street, longan street and Mango Street make the local subtropical fruit trees as the main theme, with lawn and beautiful flowers, bringing people the enjoyment of returning to nature. The west end of Liyuan street is connected with the Dai village of Dashu, the Dai nationality. The hundred year old banyan ecological forest of more than 60 mu of Dai people adds strong Dai tropical pastoral characteristics to small towns. The beautiful greening of small towns, charming night scenery, simple folk customs and natural hot springs will bring customers a home like experience.
Agriculture
The completion of small market towns has promoted the formation and growth of agricultural industrialization in the whole town. Kekuhe River Basin, known as "natural greenhouse", is suitable for large-scale cultivation and growth of grain, sugarcane, tobacco, fruits, vegetables and other crops. It is an important pollution-free fruit and vegetable production base in Southwest Yunnan. Under the guidance of the government and market operation, the planting area of subtropical fruits such as Ponkan, ginseng and litchi in Kejie is over 8000 mu, the planting area of winter early vegetables such as green pepper, tomato, balsam pear and eggplant is 4500 mu, the planting area of oriental tobacco is 3000 mu, and the planting area of sugarcane is about 30000 mu. Small towns set up information flow and logistics platform for rural industry, breaking the traditional situation of agricultural production, forming a large-scale and intensive management mode with a certain ability to resist market risk, realizing a win-win interaction between the development of small towns and the development of agricultural industrialization. In 2004, the output value of fruit and vegetable industry in Kejie town was more than 19 million yuan.

The hot spring tourism of olive river will be the main attraction of the town The development of the resort and Dashu Dai culture park will go hand in hand with the construction of market towns; the construction of rural roads and agricultural information network will escort the development of agricultural industrialization. Ten years later, the total rural economic income of the town will exceed 150 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers will be 2500 yuan, and the town level fiscal revenue will be 7 million yuan.
