Laomai township is one of the townships in Shidian County, Baoshan, Yunnan Province. It is located in the northeast of Shidian County, 37 kilometers away from the location of Shidian County. The road to the township is Tanshi Road, with convenient transportation. Laomai township is 37 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Xiyi township of Longyang District in the East, Renhe Town of Shidian County in the south, Kasi township of Changning County in the West and Shuichang township of Shidian County in the north. It has jurisdiction over seven villagers' committees, namely Taihe, Huangjia, Yangliu, laomai, Zitong, Qinghe and Honggu. With an area of 112 square kilometers, an altitude of 1560-2470 meters, an average annual temperature of 14 ℃ and an annual precipitation of 900-1400 mm, the township is suitable for planting tobacco, corn and other crops. famous scenery
In Yangliu village committee of laomai Township, there is an ancient road lying between deep mountains and canyons, stretching for more than ten kilometers. It is one of the ancient Silk Roads in South China. This ancient road was formed in the Han Dynasty and flourished in the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Before the opening of national highway 320, it was the lifeline connecting Shidian with the Central Plains. This ancient road is an important commercial, political and military channel in history. Guansuoling, it is said that Zhuge Liang's son, Guan Yu, was stationed here. Later, in order to remember him, people built a temple near the pass, named Guansuo temple. The mountain behind the temple is called guansuoling. It is a treasure land of geomantic omen. Now it has developed into more than 70 families. It's inconvenient to drink water on the ridge, so it gradually moved to the back of Guansuo temple and faces yangliuba across the river. Now it belongs to Sihou natural village.
