Mangkuan Yi and Dai nationality township, formerly known as "menglongyang", is located in the northwest of Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. It spans 98 ° 25 ′ - 98 ° 35 ′ E and 25 ° 05 ′ - 25 ° 57 ′ n, and is located in Nujiang Grand Canyon between Gaoligong Mountains. The average annual rainfall is 700-1200 mm. It is located in the gorge between the east foot of Gaoligong Mountain and Nushan mountain, bordering wama Township, Wenshang Township, Wafang Township and Yangliu Township in the East, Lujiang Township in the south, Gaoligong Mountain in the West and Nujiang Prefecture in the north. It is about 22.5 km wide from east to west and 37.5 km long from north to south, with a total area of 544 square kilometers. The highest altitude is 3622.9 meters, and the lowest is 686 meters. It is a typical subtropical low hot valley climate. The annual average temperature is 21.60 C, and the annual rainfall is 663 mm. The Nujiang River passes through the territory from north to south, with an annual inflow of 512.26 billion cubic meters. Due to the vegetation coverage of Gaoligong Mountain and abundant rainfall, the dry flow accounts for a large proportion of the annual runoff, and the total water resources is 51.721 billion cubic meters. After deducting the inflow of Nujiang River, the total water resources of Mangkuan township is 494.11 billion cubic meters, of which the spring flow is the largest 662 cubic meters of water.

Sugar cane
Mangkuan Yi and Dai nationality township began planting sugarcane in 1956, and has developed to more than 60000 mu with a total output of 300000 tons, which is known as "green industry and sweet cause". The color, aroma and taste of the oriental tobacco produced in our township have reached the international advanced level. New sericulture industry
Sericulture has not been developed for a long time in Mangkuan Yi and Dai villages. Since 2002, it has been planted on 11636 mu, and has built a "ten thousand mu sericulture demonstration base". In addition to the major industries in Mangkuan, there are also some special products, such as coffee, tropical fruits (bananas, lychees, mangoes) and recently developed Hanbai jade, hemp stone, Lanzhi jade, which are also welcomed by people from all walks of life.
