Magu Town, belonging to Hezhang County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the southwest of Hezhang County. It borders shuitangbao Yi and Miao Township and Zhushi Yi Township in the East, Bandi Township in Weining Yi and Hui Autonomous County in the south, Shuangping Yi and Miao Township in the West and Luozhou town in the North, with an administrative area of 137.23 square kilometers.
In 1924, the first district of Weining South was set up in Magu. Later, it was divided into two districts and Tianyuan Town was set up. In 1991, Magu town was built. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in MUN Gu Town was 45073. As of June 2020, Magu town has jurisdiction over 9 communities and 19 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located in LAOCHANG community.
In 2018, there were 48 industrial enterprises in Magu Town, including 7 above scale and 37 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
In 1924, the first district of Weining South was set up in Magu. Later, it was changed into two districts and Tianyuan Town was set up.
In 1943, it was renamed Qianfeng town.
In 1950, jianmagu district.
In 1953, two townships, Qianfeng and Xinhe, were established in the two streets of Magu new factory and old factory respectively.

In May 1958, it was changed into a district level town; in the same year, it was changed into a township people's commune.
