Taiping Yi and Miao nationality township, belonging to Jinsha County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, is located in the west of Jinsha County, adjacent to Shichang Miao and Yi nationality township in the East, Shatu town in the south, Dashan Miao and Yi nationality township and Guowa Township in Dafang County in the west, Qingchi town and Malu Miao and Yi nationality township in the north, with an administrative area of 85.8 square kilometers.
From the Sui Dynasty to the end of Ming Dynasty, the birthplace of the family ruled by the she family in Gulin was under the jurisdiction of Xuzhou (now Yibin) and Yongning (now Xuyong), which was a region ruled by both Tuliu and Miao. In 1991, Taiping Yi and Miao township was built. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Taiping Yi Miao nationality township was 15197. As of June 2020, Taiping Yi and Miao township has jurisdiction over one community and four administrative villages.

History of construction
From the Sui Dynasty to the end of the Ming Dynasty, the birthplace of the family ruled by the she family in Gulin was under the jurisdiction of Xuzhou (now Yibin) and Yongning (now Xuyong).
In Yuan Dynasty, Xuzhou road was set up.
In the Ming Dynasty, Yongning was set up as the chief executive.
In the Qing Dynasty, Yongning hall was set up under the jurisdiction of pingdingli. In the first year of Qianlong reign of Qing Dynasty (1736), pingdingli, which belongs to Sichuan Province, was divided into Guizhou and was under the rule of Qianxi Prefecture.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was located in Shichang District of Qianxi County and Taiping Township.
Since 1949, it has been the residence of townships and communes.
In 1958, Taiping commune was established.
In 1984, Taiping Township was changed.
In 1991, Taiping Yi and Miao nationality township was established.
